SCOPE OF THE JOB

The Brand Manager is responsible for leading the Commercial team in the development and execution of strategic and brand’s value-centered plans. He/she contributes to the development of his/her brands terms of promotion, event planning, business analysis and new product development for the brand’s established stores.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  1. Lead brands growth, develop new brands geographically and expand existing brands in new markets based on a market commercial analysis.

  2. Select collection products in accordance with market trends and analyze the market segment at which the store product is aimed, along with prices and competition to provide brand related reports and data as requested.

  3. Liaise with other departments to obtain optimum efficiency of operations with minimum cost in order to maximize profits.

  4. Ensure the terms, conditions and rules of the franchisers/suppliers and lease agreements are duly implemented and respected.

  5. Plan and organize events, prepare promotions, sales and special collection for the brands in coordination with the Marketing Department and the suppliers in order to maximize sales profit.

  6. Coordinate with Commercial Procurement Manager and Retail Department to set the budget of the season, and verify that standards for sales, rotation and loss are established.

  7. Proactively put in place action plans when targets are not reached, and take full ownership and accountability over the shops P&L account.

  8. Analyze stock rotation to reach an acceptable stock level, maximize sell out at full price, and plan efficiently for the sale period.

  9. Identify potential wholesalers based on set requirements, set and follow up on pre-orders on daily basis in order to maximize sales.

  10. Benchmark products prices in the market and negotiate with suppliers accordingly.

  11. Analyze consumer buying pattern & predict future trends.

  12. Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers/customers and work on sourcing plan for new brands/products. 

  13. Monitor the products performance based on reports analysis (Inventory, Stock, best seller reports, Sell through, Sales per SQM, Gross Marginal etc…).

  14. Conduct business travels, in order to check the new collection & undergo the buying / selection process of the brand items. 

  15. Conduct stores visits in order to ensure that brand standards are followed and that merchandising visuals are done according to guidelines.

  16. Perform other duties that are aligned & related to the job scope.



JOB REQUIREMENTS


  • Education:  Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.

  • Experience:  At least 5 to 6 years of experience in the field.

  • Linguistic Skills: Advanced in written & spoken English & Arabic, French is a plus.

  • Computer Skills: Extensive knowledge in Ms. Office especially in Excel.
