Head of Unit – Operational Accounting Unit
The Accounting Specialist will be responsible of OMT financial information system interfaces. He/ she will be setting functional financial requirements, evaluating & applying effective testing of new/ existing applications for quality assurance. He/ She shall report the validity and effectiveness of applications on OMT financial systems. In addition, the Accounting Specialist will be monthly handling OMT services commissions.
Set technical financial requirements & ensure effective testing and implementation of the Finance Dpt. applications
Contribute in the preparation of financial technical requirements; communicate the corresponding outcome with the ICT Dpt. & coordinate on creating financial interfaces on test environment
Ensure quality assurance tests of OMT services (Cash to Bank and Cash to Business) applications & system updates before launching on real environment; document & communicate testing results to the concerned parties
Ensure successful launch of OMT services systems on real environment by verifying implementation of financial interfaces and confirming accounting operations are running successfully on system
Investigate system problems of new/ existing financial applications, communicate with ICT Dpt. system irregularities, functionality failure and trace issues until resolved; follow up for upgrade & performance enhancement
Carry out monthly OMT services commissions in an accurate and timely manner:
Control monthly payment services, Intra and Western Union commissions generation
Issue & communicate the monthly commission reports to the concerned parties
Perform bank accounts reconciliation & communicate the outcome to the Financial Control Unit for verification
Perform any task in line with his/her competencies, in the department, as required by the management and according to department’s/ company’s objectives
Bachelor degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting, Audit or Finance
3 to 5 years of experience in accounting; financial systems quality assurance experience will be considered as a great advantage
Advanced in Arabic & in English, Basic in French
Advanced knowledge in MS. Office especially in Excel
